jay-smithHello Google Searcher!

My name is Jay Smith and I'm the CEO of Maine-ly Titles, Inc.  Since 2001, we've helped thousands of people just like you obtain legal vehicle titles.

It can be very difficult or, in some cases, impossible to get a vehicle title in your state on your own.  Additionally, information about how to get a title is hard to find and is often inaccurate.  This is because every state has different title laws and most of them are very tough.

That's where our title specialists come in.  They can get you a new title by working on your behalf to get a title or registration in a state with favorable laws, such as Maine or Arizona.  They'll provide you with the proper paperwork that you can take to your local DMV to either get a new state title or registration.

Our innovative system is unique because it's 100% online.  Once your title order has been placed, the system will figure out what paperwork is needed based on your vehicle information and your state of residence.  Using this information, a title specialist will be assigned to you.  Their top priority is to make sure you get the title you need as quickly as possible.

There are many possible reasons why you need a new title.  Regardless of your situation, we're here to make that happen.  If you ever have any questions please email us at titlehelp@mainelytitles.com or call us toll free at 1-877-886-8848.

Every state follows pretty much the same requirements for getting a replacement title but the procedures for running the gauntlet are different. A vehicle title (or a car title) is a legal form, establishing a person or business as the legal owner of a vehicle. Vehicle titles in Montana are issued by the Montana Motor Vehicle Division.

The certificate of title normally specifies:

  1. Identifying information about the vehicle, normally at minimum its vehicle identification number, make, and year of manufacture.
  2. Technical information about the vehicle to define its taxation regime, such as its gross vehicle weight and motive power.
  3. The name and address of the purchaser or "registered owner" who would normally possess and use it.
  4. If money is owed on the vehicle, the name of the lien holder or "legal owner" to whom this money is owed.

When a vehicle is financed, the certificate of title is normally held by the lender, who must release it to the purchaser once the balance is paid off. When a car is sold from one owner to another, the title must be transferred to the new owner. This is achieved by requesting approval by the Montana MVD.

Below is a summary only for the state of Montana, please contact your local DMV for specifics if more information is required.
