The Process
For All boatsStep 1. You fill out an online form, then based on the year and vessel type GetNewTitle.com automatically calculates the appropriate fees and a secure payment is made with your credit card or by mailing check or money order. Some makes/models may require additional fees.
Step 2. Confirmation is sent to you via e-mail with instructions for additional pieces of supporting information such as a copy of the Bill of Sale, a Vehicle Power of Attorney authorization (Original notarized document, must be sent by U.S. Mail - fax copy not acceptable). Once you have gathered these additional documents you can return to the website and continue with the process. Using your HIN, enter it into the Return to Form field and click GO. Using the gathered documents, complete the next step.
Step 3. Upon completion of Step 2, take the supporting documents and send or fax them to your Specialist. Once received, your Specialist will complete the process and you should receive your new title in a few weeks.
Step 4. When your Online Ordering Form is processed, a new title will be sent to you in the mail. If you have any questions or require an update, please contact your Specialist.
